Sydney, New South Wales
After unsuccessful negotiations between the owner and several prospective purchasers who had approached them directly, we were employed to execute a successful off-market transaction. Negotiations included post-sale operational matters, such as providing meals and laundry services to the residents from an offsite third party.
Sydney, NSW and Canberra, ACT
2018 was a tough year for Aged Care Operators with the sector being under intense scrutiny from the regulatory bodies and media. During this time, the main shareholders of a group of three facilities in NSW with over 400 beds in total, decided to divest of their going-concern Aged Care assets and retire. Despite significant obstacles with a changing compliance environment and restructuring of the facilities, AMICUM managed to procure an experienced purchaser who took over operations successfully at this crucial time.
Mornington, Victoria
The Mornington is a large and established Retirement Village with over 200 units on Victoria’s popular Mornington Peninsula. Being a community focused provider, it was management’s strong preference that the interests of local staff and residents be protected during and after the divestment of the village. After an extensive search process AMICUM managed to secure Southern Cross Care (SA&NT )Inc, a successful and expanding community operator based in Adelaide to take over operations in early 2019.
